Bible, Revelation, chapter 13, verses 1-9: [...] And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. [...] The whole world was filled with wonder and followed the beast. 4 People [...] worshiped the beast and asked, “Who is like the beast? Who can wage war against it?” [...] It opened its mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and his dwelling place and those who live in heaven. It was given power to wage war against God’s holy people and to conquer them. And it was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world. Whoever has ears, let them hear.
Behold these words from the bibel! The song Thousand Years talks about these people that – in those years mention above – have not worshipped the so called beast (whatever it will be, then). They have payed with their lives. Now, they are ressurrected and reign with Christ for a thousand years.
It is possible that some time in the future there will be such a false leader? That people just start following? That slanders the God of the bible? That has power over every nation?
When it eventually comes to pass - at least you have read it here, already, and may thus be able to counter whatever enticement this leader may offer. Even if it will cost one's life. How dreadful. But the reward is eternity on a new earth with a new body and living face to face with God Almighty.
